Book of Abraham Sandbox

Summary: The Book of Abraham has been the subject of much controversy and criticism since about the 1850s. Critics allege that Joseph Smith translated the papyri incorrectly, that he plagiarized from various sources to create the narrative of the Book of Abraham, and that there is no way Abraham could have written the Book of Abraham. The following pages address these arguments and provide links to other FAIR resources for further learning.
